Lasagna Tip March 4,2013
This past weekend we had company for dinner and I made a big dish of lasagna.
Now making homemade lasagna can be a little intense,
especially when you make your own sauce like I do.
However, I'm going to share a couple of tips with you to make the process a little easier.
First, don't worry about precooking the noodles.
Seriously you can completely skip this step and it bakes up just fine.
Second, when you add the layer of ricotta cheese mixture, spread it directly onto the uncooked noodle. If you have your sauce in the pan, then the noodles, and then try to spread the ricotta cheese... Well, it can be a little difficult because one, the cheese mixture is thick and two, the noodles and sauce move around on you. By spreading the mixture on each noodle before placing them in the dish, you do not have to fight with it and the mixture gets spread evenly.
Be sure your baking dish is big enough and place it on a bigger cookie sheet to catch any sauce that might bubble up and run over while it is cooking.

Coffee Creamer

My in-laws bought us a Keurig coffee machine back in January.

I love it and I am not paid to say that.

So I have been buying different kinds of liquid coffee creamer for us to try.

One of them was a Peppermint Mocha.  We didn't really like it in the coffee. 

It was okay but definitely not our favorite. 

Today I decided to try it in a cup of hot tea.  Wow!  It was very good and refreshing. 

So I guess I "re-purposed" the coffee creamer.
